Location

This beach is one of the many beaches along the Clallam County coastline of the state of Washington, USA.

Tourist attraction

The beach is frequented by those people interested in enjoying the water of the Pacific Ocean. Boating along with swimming is a common activity here, in addition to fishing which is a common pleasure activity enjoyed by the people visiting the beach. This beach is also visited by hikers who travel on the trails near the shore. White water paddling is also an activity that one gets to enjoy while here. Another place to enjoy white water paddling is the Calawah River. If one is just interested in relaxing at the beach, then one can try stretching oneself at the South Sand Point.

A fresh water point of interest nearby is the Cedar Creek. Those who are interested in climbing can try the hilly point of Foot Rock. If one feels tired after the exercise at this hill, one can cool one’s heels in the cold water of the Pacific. Other interesting places nearby are the Yellow Banks and the Norwegian Memorial. The water bays near this beach are the Allens Bay, South End, and the Boot Bay.

If one wants a good view over a vast area, then one has to visit the viewpoints at Preachers Point, Cemetery Point, and at the Birkestol Point. Cemetery Point is a peak from where one gets a nice view of the green belt. The islands that are situated near the beach are the Baby Island and the Tivoli Island. If one is interested in enjoying water activity at places other than the beach, then one can visit the creeks at Allens Slough, Elk Creek, Siwash Creek, South Creek, and the Cedar Creek. A huge water body called the Ozette Lake is another place where one can enjoy water. Hikers usually traverse on the Allens Bay Trail.

Best period to visit

August is the month to visit if one is planning to see the wonderful natural environment at the Kayostia Beach. This is also the driest season here.

To access the beach one has to use the Highway 101.
