Location

This not well known beach is situated near the Hood Canal and the Seabeck Creek and forms a part of the coastline of the Kitsap County, in the state of Washington, USA.

Tourist attractions

Though the beach is not visited by most tourists, it is a popular spot for a family outing. The shore line is beautiful here and the water sparkles in the sunlight during summer. One can enjoy walking the stretch of the beach. There are also some water sport activities one can enjoy at this beach.  Swimming in this narrow water body is quite an experience. If one has a boat, then one can enjoy rowing about the beach above the sparkling waters. One can also try fishing in these waters. One may also come across the occasional paddler. Some hikers who travel along the shoreline can also be found here.

The other interesting places which one can tour here are the Seabeck Bay, a water body called the Seabeck Creek, and also enjoy the sights at the Misery Point. For white water paddling enthusiasts, there is the Dosewallips River and also the Scenic Beach. Another beach in this area is the Maple Beach.

There are some interesting hiking trails situated at some distance from the beach. These are the Deadfall Trail, the Mount Jupiter Trail, and the Mount Zion Trail.

Best period to visit

Like the other beaches of the region the ideal time of visit to the beach would be in the month of July.

Access

While travelling on the US Highway 5, one will have to turn towards Gig Harbor lying left of Tacoma. Then it’s onto Highway 16 that crosses Port Orchard and Brementon. On reaching Silverdale, one will have to exit on the NW Newberry Hill Road. This joins the Seabeck Hwy NW taking one near the beach.
