Location

The North Beach is located on the Whidbey Island near the Oak Harbor opposite the Camano Island, in the Island County of Washington, USA.

Tourist attractions

The beach is surrounded by water bodies and is a good place to enjoy water sports. But as the beach does not find favor with many tourists, one will not find many visitors at the beach on a normal day. Some people visit the beach during the summer months. The beach is a good place to relax and breathe in some fresh air, while stretching out oneself on the sand. One can enjoy swimming in the protected water off the beach as well as near the harbor. There is plenty of space to enjoy boat rides as the area is surrounded by water bodies like the Oak Harbor, the Crescent Harbor, and the Penn Cove. Its unique location near the Saratoga Passage and the Admiralty Bay, lying south of Skagit Bay and the Dugualla Bay, makes it a nice place for boating and paddling

Another beach nearby is the Anaco Beach. The other interesting places one can tour while visiting the beach are the Lighthouse Point and the Gull Rocks. The nature reserve nearby is called the Deception Pass State Park. One can also roam near the Reservation Head, and the Sares Head. To get a larger view of the area one can try climbing the Rosario Head. Those interested in golf can keep up with their practice at the Similk Beach Golf Course which is located at Anacortes, about 6 miles away from the beach.

Best period to visit

The month of July is the ideal time to visit the beach.
